Students the school dress code is being enforced. Please check your 2019-2020 student handbook (p. 34) and dress accordingly.

Remember, we have an early dismissal Wednesday. All students will be dismissed at 11:10 AM.  Be sure to remind your parents!

There is a sign-up sheet in the front office for MS and HS Girls Basketball.

On Wednesday, Sept. 18th the schedule will go as follows:

1st hour go to your Advisory class

2nd hour go to your 5th hour class

3rd hour go to you 6th hour class

4th hour go to your 7th hour class

On Friday, September 20th the Girls Basketball team will have an organizational meeting during lunch. Bring your tray to Mr. Blissett’s room at lunchtime.

There will be a HS Scholar Bowl practice /meeting after school on Thursday, September 19th in the Library. All members must be present in order to attend the Scholastic Hi-Q at Carbondale Monday night at SIUC.

Meridian Yearbook Club will meet Next Tuesday, September 24th after school in the Library. All members must be present for this meeting to receive your assignments.

Meridian PTSO is selling Bobcat t-shirts for $15.00. Orders are due September 27. Order

forms will be sent home or shirts may be ordered online at www.customink.com/fundraising/meridianpts.

Students who do not have a 2019-2020 student handbook please let your advisory teacher know.

Picture Day is September 26th.  Please be in attendance to take your picture for the yearbook and for a school I.D. card.  Also, if you are a sponsor for a club or organization, sports etc… Lifetouch will be taking group pictures of your club or organization on that day. Please make sure your students bring their uniforms on that day for group pictures.

Mrs. Houston is looking for two responsible students age 16 and up who would like to work after school Enrichment.  If you are interested please pick up an application in the front office and return it to Mrs. Blake by September 19th

The Meridian 21st Century Community Learning Center would like to thank you for your donation to the 5K Walk-A-Thon Fund Raiser held at Meridian High School on July 26th. All proceeds went to the Jodi Thurston-Marlo “Keep Smiling” Scholarship Fund. This scholarship benefits Meridian Seniors who will continue their education at the college level. Thanking you again for all donations sent (money, fruit, snacks, water, drinks, time and sponsoring students, etc). Because of your contributions to the walk we collected $1,819.00.Thank you! Faye Howard- Committee Service Chairperson and Debra Houston- Project Director.

Blackburn college visit with seniors has been cancelled for today.

On September 26th McKendree College will be here at 11:45 am to speak with seniors.

On October 2nd freshman will take the PSAT in the library.

On October 10th seniors will be at Shawnee College for the SCC experience day.

Anyone from ages 0-18 who is interested in being a contestant for the Pecan Bonanza Pageant on October 19th can pick up an application in the front office.

On December 11th all juniors and any senior who wants to retest will be taking the ASVAB in the Library.
